Fad: Optimism

They say pessimism has become king. The first thing people would point to is the stock market and people’s low expectations of an economic turnaround.

Pish posh I say. If anything, your average person is far too optimistic. I was at a Ne-Yo concert about a month ago. When Ne-Yo talked about how things were looking potentially good in the country and that the President was black, he received a round of applause.

Obama’s strong popularity, and the fierceness of the early March rally should show that optimism still abounds, even in the face of a continued economic crisis. People are still stretched out to the max, the government is printing money for waste, and none of us seemed to have learned the lesson that efficiency is king for a solid economy.
